LORIE BURCH

Sponsored by Pepkin & Associates

For practitioners and advisors who represent lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered clients, this presentation will address the latest tips, tools, and updates on new and quickly evolving LGBT legal issues since the marriage equality decision in June 2015. Topics include the decision’s impact on retroactivity, common law marriage, community property, divorce, adoptions, estate planning, and probate. The presentation will help those with LGBT clients understand the unique planning and challenges when it comes to legal planning for LGBT Texans.
