"EASING THE IMPACT OF HIGHER INCOME TAXES"

SPEAKER: KELLIE DIDIA

As of January 1, 2013, business owners and other wealthy taxpayers are now subject to myriad of higher income taxes.  The principal reasons for these higher income taxes are the changes enacted by: (a) the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 (aka the “fiscal cliff” legislation), and (b) the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (aka President Barrack Obama’s healthcare legislation).  Given their level of sophistication and needs, these clients may desire to explore ways in which they can “take a bite” out of the higher income taxes they currently face.  This presentation will focus on ways in which higher net worth client (such as business owners, highly compensated employees, and individual taxpayers) may reduce and defer taxable income (and, thus, income taxes).  Kellie DiDia is a senior analyst for Pacific Life’s Advanced Designs Unit, a highly recognized team of advanced market experts for the life insurance industry.  Kellie has a specialized focus on business planning, executive compensation, retirement planning and estate planning.  Kellie is an expert on planning related to Pacific Life’s long-term care product and chronic illness rider and is a frequent presenter to life insurance producers and professional advisors.  Before entering the life insurance industry, she earned her J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law.

Continuing education credits are pending for this program.
