DESCRIPTION:\n \nLIVE WEBINAR \n \nWEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2021\n \nNOTE TIME: 8:00 a.m.\n \nRegistration Deadline: DECEMBER 8 (5:00 p.m.)\n \nIn a World of Change, Some Things Remain the Same:\n \nThe IRS’ Persistent Pursuit of Wealth Transfer Planning\n \nANTHONY DADDINO\n \n\n \n \nSponsored by The Catholic Foundation, Security National Bank and Glast Phillips & Murray\n \nIn the past two years, we have seen nothing but change in the world around us.  And while Congress is posed to pass yet another round of tax law changes, with many such changes dramatically affecting transfer tax planning, there has been surprisingly little change in the IRS’ scrutiny of family limited partnerships and other wealth transfer techniques.    With scarce resources and from the home offices of IRS personnel, the IRS has not wavered in its chase after plain vanilla and exotic planning transaction alike.  This presentation will explore the state of IRS enforcement in the areas of estate and gift tax, discuss legislative initiatives passed and pending, and offer recommendations on how to improve planning structures to better withstand unavoidable challenges by the IRS in the future. Anthony P. Daddino is Managing Partner of Meadows Collier, et al.  Anthony devotes his practice to handling complex, and often times delicate, tax issues that successful businesses and their owners face.  For nearly two decades, he has counseled clients on income and estate tax issues both in the planning state (before contact by the IRS) as well as in the controversy state (after IRS contact.  On planning matters, Anthony commonly works with business entrepreneurs and their families on wealth preservation and transfer strategies.  His work focuses on structuring their business and personal financial affairs in a way that accomplishes global wealth preservation goals and that is efficient from both an income and estate and gift tax perspective.  On controversy matters, Anthony routinely represents taxpayers at every stage of the life cycle of a tax dispute, both criminally and civilly. Anthony received his JD from SMU. Anthony is a frequent speaker on a variety of topics.\n \nContinuing education credit pending for State Bar, CPA, CFP.
