Attendees will gain knowledge about incentive provisions and their advantages and disadvantages, and develop drafting skills that might help to avoid common problems. Curtis R. Groves is the Senior Vice President and Texas Regional Trust Manager for Comerica Bank based in Dallas. His responsibilities with Comerica Wealth Management involve managing the personal trust department for the state of Texas.  Mr. Groves has over 18 years of wealth management experience in Dallas, and he is licensed to practice law in Texas.  Norm Lofgren is with the law firm Looper Reed & McGraw.  Norm’s practice focuses on taxation, estate planning and family wealth protection and transfer. His experience as a former trial attorney for the IRS coupled with his extensive experience in income, estate, gift, generation-skipping tax matters and tax planning for closely held businesses enables Norm to create solutions that minimize tax exposure and preserve wealth. Joshua Tate earned his J.D. from Yale LawSchool and his Ph.D. in History from Yale.  He has been a full-time faculty member at SMU Dedman School of Law since 2005, specializing in trusts and estates, property, and legal history.  He has published articles in such journals as the Journal of Legal History; Yale Journal of Law and the Humanities; Journal of Law and Religion; U.C. Davis Law Review; and Real Property, Probate, and Trust Journal. \n\n\n \n\n \n\n \nContinuing education credit pending for 1.0 Hour.\n\n\n \n\n \n\n \nMembership dues do not include meals.  Credit Cards are not accepted.
