DESCRIPTION:\n  \nBREAKFAST MEETING \nWEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2011  \n(Breakfast served 7:30-8:00 a.m., Program 8:00-9:00) \nSOUTHFORK HOTEL \n(East side of US 75 just north of 15th Street) \nRESERVATION DEADLINE: THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 10 \n(PAYMENT MUST BE IN COUNCIL’S OFFICE BY THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 10) \n  \nTRENDS IN THE ECONOMY AND HOW IT AFFECTS YOU \nBOB BRIDGES \n  \nHouseholds and portfolios are operating in an economy that is difficult for many to understand. A basic understanding can be critical in wealth and estate strategy. Bob Bridges will present current trends in the economy and how we got to this point. He will introduce an understanding of some basic economic statistics as a measuring stick. These statistics will unfold what is really happening in the economy, whether we are heading for recovery or a double-dip recession, and how that will affect you. Bob Bridges is a Principal at VALUE Incorporated, a premier firm specializing in the valuation of businesses, partnerships, and intellectual property. He provides valuation opinions and economic analyses for businesses ranging in size from sole proprietorships to Fortune 500 companies. The scope of Mr. Bridges work includes valuation opinions for GAAP financial reporting, litigation and estate and gift tax purposes. Mr. Bridges holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of Texas at Arlington and a master’s degree in Applied Economics from Southern Methodist University. Mr. Bridges is also a CFA charter holder, as designated by the CFA Institute. Mr. Bridges has acted as a finance and economic consultant to businesses, brokers and fund analysts for over fifteen years. \n  \nContinuing education credit pending for 1.0 Hour. \n  \nMembership dues do not include meals. Credit Cards are not accepted.
