Drafting, Defending and Attacking Premarital and Post-Marital Agreements

This presentation will be a panel discussion reviewing basic marital property rules, how and why the rules can be changed in premarital and post-marital agreements, best practices for drafting and executing premarital and post-marital agreements, and vulnerabilities of premarital and post marital agreements. Don Totusek is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law and is a partner in the Dallas law firm of Francis, Ridgell & Totusek, LLP. Don graduated with honors from The University of Texas School of Law after obtaining a B.S. in accounting from Oklahoma State University. Don has been practicing for 38 years. Shawna L. Brown is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law with a North Dallas practice.  She has an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University and undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Arkansas. She was recently named in D Magazine’s list of “Best Lawyers in Dallas 2014.” Susan Vrana is Board Certified in Family Law and has practiced for 37 years in the Dallas area. She graduated with honors from Texas Tech University and was on Law Review for two years at Texas Tech School of Law.  She has served as President of the Family Law Section of the Dallas Bar Association, and has been chosen by her peers as a “Super Lawyer” every year since 2003. Susan was named in D Magazine’s list of “Best Lawyers in Dallas” in 2013.

Continuing education credits are pending for this program.
