ESTATE PLANNING FROM THE EYES OF A CORPORATE TRUSTEE

JACKIE DAVIS

Sponsored by Armanino and North Dallas Bank and Trust Company

The presentation will include the author’s observations since leaving private practice to join the fiduciary side of the trusts and estates profession. The presentation will discuss many “boilerplate” trust provisions that may not be apparent to the client or advisor, but will be of critical importance to the Trustee administering the Trust. This presentation will also outline the top mistakes and/or unintended consequences that the author has observed in reviewing various estate plans, gift tax returns, and other pertinent estate planning documents.

Jackie Davis is Senior Vice President and Fiduciary Counsel at Bessemer Trust. In this role, she is responsible for working with clients and their advisors to develop practical and efficient wealth transfer plans, and for guiding the firm on fiduciary issues. Prior to joining Bessemer, Jackie was an attorney in the Wealth Planning group of Jackson Walker LLP, where she advised clients on estate planning, charitable giving, and estate administration.  Jackie earned a J.D. from Baylor Law School and a B.B.A. from Texas Christian University. Jackie is board certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

There are pending continuing education credits for this meeting. The handout will be available on the website under the document library a few days prior to the presentation.
