The landscape of Charitable Gift Planning has changed considerably in the wake of the global economic crisis. What kinds of gifts are working for donors now and what are the implications for their advisors?  Come hear what expert representatives of area charitable organizations have to say about the current environment for philanthropic gifts, and the impact that tax and estate planning may have on the future of your clients’ giving. The presentation includes irrevocable life insurance trusts for wealth replacement and additional leverage when coupled with gifts of retirement assets.  Any professional who attends the presentation will gain knowledge of the current environment, the characteristics of giving in response to current environment, the advisor’s role in charitable planning, gift vehicles, case studies in planning opportunities and the benefits for advisors offering gift planning advice. Jackie Franey is the Donor Relations Director at Communities Foundation of Texas where she is responsible for all facets of working with donors and professional advisors to establish major and planned gifts for the foundation.   Jayne Grimes, a Certified Financial Planner™ and Accredited Estate Planner, is the Director of Gift Planning for the Baylor Health Care System Foundation.  Joe Hancock currently serves as Trust Counsel for Baptist Foundation of Texas and its subsidiary, Concord Trust Company, located in Dallas, Texas, having rejoined the Foundation staff in 2002 after three years as Trust Counsel at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.
